The Senior Project Manager leads the project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, and project accounting on a variety of commercial and industrial electrical projects. Ensuring compliance with quality standards is a top priority! Senior PM will collaborate across departments and manage a team. 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor optimum utilization of resources including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Oversee and manage the project financials, including forecasting and cost control, as well as minimize exposure and risk in the project.
  • Keep the project running on time, ensuring that construction activities move according to the project schedule.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.
  • Continually monitor the progress of the construction activities and hold regular status meetings with the project team.
  • Analyze changes in scope, schedule, and budget, revising project work plans as the need arises.
  • Ensure project documents are complete.
  • Quantify cost and/or schedule impacts associated with changes in project design and construction and notify all project stakeholders of the changes.
  • Review and negotiate client contracts including terms and conditions, dates, and services.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven ability to manage projects consistently and effectively to completion, on time, and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of electrical construction in a large-scale commercial environment
  • Build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to stay informed of market trends.
  • Thorough understanding of safety standards in electrical construction.
  • Strong leadership experience in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions and trade practices
  • Excellent communication skills – the ability to articulate a message, be persuasive, and explain complex information to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, BlueBeam, and Accubid.
  • Willingness to travel to various construction sites on a frequent basis.

Education & Experience

  • 10+ years of industrial and/or commercial electrical project management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, related degree, or equivalent combination of skills and training.

As an electrical contractor, we install and service the power and lighting to commercial and industrial buildings in the Western US.

 

Working Conditions:

The majority of the time you will work in a typical office environment, the remainder of the time you will be on construction job sites. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.

Salary Range:   

$115,000 - $145,000

 

*Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.*
