The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Tools & Equipment for our Reno office. They will oversee the planning, organizing, receiving, storage and distribution of all items coming in or leaving the warehouse for job use. Coordinates Fleet. The position reports to the Reno Superintendent. 

Responsibilities

Tools and Fleet

  • Provide direction over day-to-day operation of Tools & Equipment and Fleet departments
  • Ensure effective coordination between Tool and Equipment and Fabrication teams to ensure that the proper tools, equipment, and supplies are ordered in a precise and timely fashion.  Coordinate inventory management, warehousing, and transportation activities to optimize inventory levels and job site tool needs.
  • Support a variety of logistical functions including dispatching tools to job sites, reconciling equipment returns, and supporting planning activities
  • Inspects returned tools for useability, wear, and safety issues.
  • Manage standard vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
  • Manage vehicle tracking software and ensure safe and proper use of company vehicles
  • Manage, maintain, and enforce uniform procedures and standards for tools, fleet, maintenance, inventory, ordering etc.

Administrative

  • Reconcile inventory to ensure full utilization of all IME assets
  • Monitor and manage all departmental email distributions to ensure communication, accuracy, and completion of all requests
  • Assist with developing, forecasting, managing, and maintaining Tool and Fleet departments’ overall performance and annual budget
  • Continually seek industry and market information to build and improve SOPs
  • Identify process improvements to department efficiency and potential cost-saving and inventory streamlining opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • OSHA 10
  • Successfully pass a Department of Transportation physical
  • Successfully obtain a MSHA certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s logistics management systems.
  • Position may involve kneeling, stooping, bending, pushing, lifting, carrying, and moving objects that can weigh up to 50 pounds

Education and Experience:

  • One year experience in warehouse or logistics coordination preferred.
  • Experience in standard vehicle maintenance and proper repair procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Salary Range: $ 55,000 – 70,000

 *Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.*

Working Conditions

Most of the time you will work in a warehouse environment, the remainder of the time you will be driving or on construction job sites. You will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space.  Proper PPE will be provided.
