Intermountain Electric, Inc. is seeking Industrial Electricians to join our team in Denver, CO.

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing high-quality electrical field work and taking measures to increase the company’s effectiveness and efficiency. The position reports directly to the field foreman.


    • MSHA certification desired
    • General knowledge of and ability to trouble shoot industrial motor controls and drives. 3-5 years of experience required
    • Install rigid, IMC, EMT and other raceways. Pull wire, and mount equipment, training apprentices to do the same
    • Assemble and install small to large electrical parts and pieces, training apprentices to do the same
    • Trims outlet, recessed cans and other repetitive finish work, training apprentices to do the same
    • Assists apprentice in completing Apprenticeship Paperwork including hours and reviews
    • Responsible for leading communications with apprentices and following direction from foreman
    • Use electrical formulas to figure out pipe fill, device, and panel size, and disconnects
    • Lay out and organize assigned tasks to apprentices
    • Plan materials and tools needed to complete the job
    • Read and understand basic blueprints
    • Handle material required for the job
    • Perform duties as assigned by foreman
    • Assist in the inspection, installation, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of distinct electrical systems including lighting systems, power distribution systems (including electrical panels), emergency systems (including exit lights and security lights) ,ballasts, switches, electrical receptacles, conduits, and cables involving voltages from 120 volts to 480 volts.



  • MSHA 
  • Current electrical journeyman license.
  • Must be willing to travel. Per diem will be provided on projects requiring overnight lodging. 
  • Excellent understanding of the electrical industry.
  • Punctual, motivated, detail oriented and will not accept second best.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.


Salary Range: $ 39.75 - 44.00/HR

Working Conditions:

The majority of the time you will work in a typical office environment, the remainder of the time you will be on construction job sites. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching and shoring, sometimes in a confined space.  You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.
