  • Overview

    The Controller oversees the day-to-day financial affairs of the organization and is responsible for successfully managing the Finance department. The Controller’s chief aim is to provide financial information that is accurate, meaningful, and timely.  In addition, this position is expected to drive efficiency into all organizational processes.  The Controller will prepare financial analyses of operations and will work to become a business partner to their operational counterparts.  The Controller also works closely with the executive team to help drive the strategy and growth of the business.

    • Increase the efficiency of the Finance Department by utilizing various tools including Robotic Process Automation, Power BI, Apps, etc. Assists with the development and tracking of key performance metrics.
    • Responsible for managing the month-end close in the preparation and evaluation of the P&L and Balance Sheet.
    • Responsible for the Annual Budget and Monthly Forecast process.
    • Responsible for internal controls. Ensures proper internal controls are in place and tests controls with continuous auditing methods
    • Analyzes trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, leases, contracts and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses and to identify opportunities for savings.
    • Assist Innovation team with financial analyses, creates operating models and special statistical studies.
    • Offers suggestions about resource utilization, payroll practices and all other financial and operational processes.
    • Supports the execution and communication of the company’s overall strategic financial plan.
    • Management of payroll, accounts payable, and general accounting functions.


    • Strong understanding of business processes and how to drive efficiency.
    • Ability to utilize advanced tools for the development of financial reports.
    • Experience with Office 365 tools, e.g., Power BI and Process Automate preferred
    • Construction experience is a plus.
    • Ability to analyze complex information and formulate decisions.
    • Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting methods.
    • Ability to communicate and effectively partner with operations.
    • Strong PC skills and software proficiency.
    • Strong managerial/leadership skills.
    • Proven leadership skills with a focus on issue resolution and efficiency.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • CPA preferred.
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
    • 10 years’ of financial management experience.
