  • Overview

    The IT Manager will provide system support to IT Department and will act as the primary point of contact for all IT help desk related issues and support.  This position will oversee maintenance, upgrades, software updates and all additional necessary IT support. The position will oversee and troubleshoot network activities. The IT Manager will facilitate the inventory, distribution and ordering of all IT equipment and accessories to staff and new-hires in a timely manner.


    IT Projects Management

    • Aid in the upgrade/management of servers, and infrastructure as needed.
    • Ensure and maintain successful backup, antiviral and system update deployments.
    • Maintain accurate hardware inventory (Asset Management) and appropriate licensing levels.
    • Develop and maintain new hire IT onboarding program, including the facilitation of inventory, distribution, and ordering of all IT equipment and accessories to staff and new hires.
    • Maintains staff by participating in recruitment and selection process, training employees, and developing personal growth opportunities.
    • Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
    • Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
    • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments.
    • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
    • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
    • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
    • Additional IT duties as assigned.


    User Support Tasks

    • Manage user moves, additions and changes within the company.
    • Setup and Maintain devices including laptops, desktops, tablets, printers and mobile smartphones.
    • Troubleshoot hardware/software, printing, and application issues.
    • Document and train users on various IT related functions.
    • Create user documentation and training when necessary.
    • Assist remote employees with network/VPN connectivity issues.
    • Provide assistance / training for phone system / conferencing solutions.
    • Document support calls and resolution appropriately.
    • Provide technical support to end users
    • Oversee helpdesk ticket system and network administration.
    • Manage and contribute to the completion of helpdesk tickets.
    • Additional User Support Tasks as assigned.


    Innovation Support Tasks

    • Provide Office 365 Support and troubleshooting.
    • Manage user access and licensing for Office 365.
    • Perform modeling changes to fix coordination clashes.


    Collaboration Tasks (Collaborate with Manager):

    • Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
    • Work collaboratively with business partners, team members, and vendors in defining, designing, planning, and implementing technology solutions to improve business functions.
    • Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.


    • BS or BA in Computer Science or related discipline preferred, or equivalent work experience in an IT-support role
    • 1-3 years of demonstrated work experience in technical project management required
