    The project controls manager manages both time and resources to ensure work is completed on time. Creates timetables for projects, updates schedules accordingly, and consults with project managers about creating schedules and managing delays. Performs advanced schedule analysis, including monitoring project progress, providing impact analysis of schedule changes, identify schedule variances and opportunities, and helps to develop mitigation strategies for project management teams.

    • Assist in developing, maintaining, and managing schedules for large commercial and industrial electrical projects.
    • Collect and analyze information used to plan and schedule construction projects.
    • Identifies and records the impact of work performed and not performed as scheduled - evaluate actual construction progress and provide regular schedule updates.
    • Assists in generating forecasts, variance reports, and other documentation used to monitor and manage projects.
    • Prepares and issues schedules, reports, and problem analysis reports.
    • Researches and reports on economic, legal, and other factors that may impact project success.
    • Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling methodologies and tools.
    • Understand and utilize standard planning and scheduling methodologies and tools.
    • Perform advanced schedule analysis and time-impact analysis. 
    • Cost/Revenue loaded schedules



    Required skill-sets and education:

    • 5 years of construction project scheduling experience
    • Must be proficient in ASTA, Microsoft project and Primavera P6  
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain accurate and up-to-date complex construction schedules working with multiple calendars
    • Experience managing multiple projects and pulling together multiple schedules into a master schedule and/or interfacing with other teams managing different schedules.
    • Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions and trade practices.
    • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
    • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with project managers and other staff
    • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be able to efficiently and effectively handle multiple and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines
    • Lead project scheduling and baselines, and communicate changes and track progress.
    • Coordinate schedule with internal and contractor teams, and control for timely completion.
    • Direct teams in data collection, management, and tasks to improve processes.
    • Track and analyze financial data and budgets, and produce reports regularly
    • ensuring active engagement of team members by delegation of tasks to the appropriate person both on a long term and on a day-to-day basis best practices such as the critical path method based on PERT and the like.
    • coordination and regulating various meetings such as project progress review meetings, quality circles, and the like
    • application of various project progress methods to ensure the project schedule is on track to meet deadlines or deliverables
    • developing and monitoring project cost forecasts
    • devising strategies to overcome roadblocks or delays through various methods such as using industry related technical knowledge, innovating short cuts or alternative ways, improvising with available resources, scheduling to meet the deadlines
