We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team. Ideal candidates will have 2 - 5 years of relevant experience with a background in the Construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform account reconciliations.
  • Support month end closing and reporting.
  • Document existing processes; provide process improvement recommendations
  • Support various cost analyses including job order (percentage of completion) accounting.
  • Perform profitability analyses and cost center variance analyses.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts
  • Assist the Sr. Financial Analyst and the VP of Finance with a variety of other Analysis and Forecasting tasks and reports; demonstrating an ability to multi-task and quickly move from one job duty to another.

Qualifications

  • Strong baseline understanding of Accounting is necessary; therefore, a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar is a position requirement
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in Construction or Electrical Contracting highly desirable
  • Demonstrated Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours at crucial times throughout the year such as month-end, quarter-end and year-end.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must take ownership and responsibilities with a demonstrated ability to both learn tasks quickly and recommend potential process changes from which the organization might benefit.
  • Self-driven, resourceful candidates who are proactive with respect to goal achievement will have the best chance to succeed in this role; additionally, flexibility to adapt to an ever-changing environment while performing in a timely and efficient manner will be significant success factors for the ideal candidate.
  • Strong communication skills are an absolute must.
