The tools and equipment Supervisor will work with the Warehouse Manager to ensure the success of all IME projects in regards to tools and equipment fulfillment. The Tools and Equipment Supervisor will manage the email address, manage daily orders, provide daily direction instruction, and coaching to Technicians and Drivers, ensure customer satisfaction, and the highest level of safety pertaining to all requirements of this position. This position requires short term and long term pre-planning and close communication with venders, customers, field, project management, and administrative staff.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages email address:
    • Respond and follow up on each request from beginning to end
    • Delegate duties to subordinates
    • Receives, acknowledges, coordinates and schedules internal deliveries and driver requests
  • Tool and consumable order fulfillment, including QA/QC:
    • Maintains tracking and documentation on every order and request
    • Verifies local stock and/or site location of tools for transfer
    • Arranges for transfer or purchase of non-stock items
    • Order Tools and Consumable material necessary to make the Tools & Equipment department organized and efficient.
    • Route consumable orders through procurement for PO (as needed)
    • Communicates delivery ETA on each order throughout the process
    • Stages tools and QA/QC check for delivery
    • Sends complete order conformation w/ picture prior to each delivery
    • Coordinates On-time delivery or Will Call for project as indicated on REQ.
    • Collects transfer slips and match with REQ document for data entry
    • Close out orders and enters transfers into internal inventory tracking
    • Prepares Spreadsheet reports for weekly internal transfer uploads
  • Equipment rental requests
    • Locating vender
    • Coordinating On-time delivery to site
    • Arranging for PO
    • Communicating contact info and confirmation to recipient
    • Arranging Call offs at project request
  • Vehicle maintenance and transfers including QA/QC
    • Respond to requests for repair and adverse inspection reports Coordinating vehicle transfers and repairs
    • Assist with maintaining current documentation and registrations/plates in all vehicles
    • Assist in ensuring proper logo and decals on all vehicles and trailers
    • QA/QC check on all vehicle transfers prior to delivery or issuance to new Driver
  • Daily schedule and personnel management
    • Responsible for maintaining current visual communication board and delivery schedule
  • Assist with job-site specific Tool and Equipment plan with the project manager and job foreman.
  • Responsible for collecting and inputting timesheets for department employees
  • Assist with warehouse flow and inventory management
    • Responsible for maintaining organization of tools, paperwork, material, etc. on Warehouse storage
    • Keeping current records labeled by storage shelf
    • Cage stock
    • Insure and Maintain minimum-maximum levels of tool inventory in Cage and Warehouse, which are determined by demand.
    • Basic Facilities Maintenance
      • Responsible for maintaining safe access and egress, working order of appliances, stock of vending machine goods, community beverages, and trash in community areas of the facility.
      • Contact and arrange for 3rd party repairs and maintenance as needed
      • Shipping and receiving
        • Receive shipments from UPS, FEDEX and other Freight companies
        • General Office and Warehouse
        • Maintaining a clearly labeled shipping and receiving area
          • Sign for, communicate, and coordinate delivery and pickup of packages and material received


  • Qualified applicants will have at least one year of experience working with multi-trade tools, specialty power tools, and possess working knowledge of calibration-required tools.
  • This position will require strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Adobe and/or Bluebeam competency
  • Possess an excellent understanding and knowledge of Industry tools and equipment, proper maintenance and inspection.
  • Clean Driving record (3 yr. period) and excellent knowledge of motor vehicle laws and requirements
  • Forklift certification and ability to teach and certify others
  • Possess an understanding of Lean process flow and problem solving techniques
  • Candidate will be motivated; detail oriented, and will possess strong interpersonal skills to work in a diverse, dynamic, and fast paced environment.
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and flexible to accommodate changes in IME’s business strategies.
  • Must communicate information and state problems of challenges to be resolved in a clear, concise, courteous, nondiscriminatory and professional manner, and be able to provide clarification as necessary.



Working conditions:

  • Job requires working on your feet, 8 to 10 hours daily up to 6 days a week.
  • Candidate will be expected to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.
  • May be required to work from all types of ladders, stepladders up to 14', "A" frame ladders and all size extension ladders.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, masks, earplugs and respirators).
  • Follow special procedures including contamination control, noise control, building systems awareness and procedures.
  • Candidate must be able to work flexible hours, as required by customers.
  • Respond to short notice requirements.
